Report on the Second Volunteer Health Camp of Ek Ek Paila
Introduction
In June 2015, Ek Ek Paila organized its second health camp in Bhadrutar, Nuwakot district, to serve earthquake victims. This time, the team comprised nearly 50 members, making it a larger group than before. For the first time, the team also included specialists such as psychologists, nutritionists, and counselors, thereby broadening the scope of services provided.
Objective
The camp was aimed at extending medical services, psychological support, and nutrition counseling to communities severely affected by the earthquake.
Services Provided
A total of 560 patients benefited from the camp, receiving 786 consultations and treatments. The breakdown is as follows:
Conclusion
The second health camp of Ek Ek Paila demonstrated both growth in scale and diversification in services. The inclusion of psychological and nutritional support reflected a holistic approach to disaster response. With 560 patients served, the camp reaffirmed the EEP’s mission to deliver comprehensive health services to those most in need during times of crisis.
